Once a forgotten 1950s concrete garage tucked behind garden walls near Finsbury Park, the Housing Centre has been reborn as a community hub for the Stroud Green Housing Co-operative. Designed by Owain Williams Architects and completed in May 2025, this 38 m² timber-clad, single-storey building now serves as an office space and gathering point for local housing support.

Inside, thoughtful architectural touches bring warmth and openness: a north‑facing clerestory floods the space with gentle, even light- sun tunnels introduce daylight without compromising privacy, and soft yellow and greens create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
